— MLS coverage

Is your MLS
covered?

IDX Bloom does not hold MLS licenses. Listing data comes through a licensed MLS data partner, and a site owner must be an MLS participant, or work under a participating brokerage.

Pre-launch. We open first in a small group of pilot markets.

— The participation rule

Who can show listings

IDX rules let only MLS participants, or agents under a participating brokerage, display MLS listings on a website. If that is you, your IDX Bloom site can show them once the connection is approved.

If it is not you yet, you can still try everything on sample listings in Preview mode.

— When something goes wrong

The data never fails loudly

Pages load from a cache. If the feed is slow or down, the last good data stays up to 24 hours. If the data provider revokes access, every cached listing is deleted at once.

Every page shows a last-updated line, so a reader always knows how fresh it is.

— How we label coverage

No list, until it is real

We publish no list of MLSs, because we will not promise coverage we cannot confirm. Ask, and we will answer for your MLS.

— FAQ

MLS questions

Which MLSs are connected today?

We do not publish a coverage list, because we will not promise coverage we cannot confirm. Tell us your MLS and we will tell you where it stands.

Do I need to be an MLS participant?

To show real MLS listings, yes. IDX rules let only MLS participants, or agents under a participating brokerage, display listings. The sample listings work for anyone.

How long does MLS approval take?

We cannot give a number. Approval depends on your MLS and on the data connection for it. Until it is approved, you run on sample listings in Preview mode.

What is Preview mode?

Before your MLS data connection is approved, IDX Bloom runs on clearly labeled sample listings, on one private page only you can see, so you can watch it work on your own site.

How fresh is the listing data?

Pages load from the cache right away and the cache refreshes in the background. Every page shows a last-updated line. We do not state a refresh interval until a live data connection confirms one.

What if the listings feed is slow or down?

Pages always load from the cache right away. If the feed fails, the last good data stays on your pages for up to 24 hours instead of being wiped.

What happens if my data access is revoked?

If the data provider refuses a site (a key or domain was revoked), every cached listing is deleted at once and nothing is shown until access is restored.

Can I add my own exclusive listings?

Not in version 1.5. Listings come from your approved MLS data connection, or from the bundled sample listings in Preview mode.
